Admissions Procedure

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Our Lady of Mount Carmel School.  We appreciate that you took the time to consider Catholic education for your child(ren).  At Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, we strive to provide an educational environment  that promotes excellence and growth in the Catholic Faith where each child can strive to reach their potential

We believe that YOU are the primary educators of your child.  It is only through parents and teachers working together and showing mutual respect that we hope to achieve what is best for each child at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School.   

A Tuition Agreement, an Enrollment Contract and a Parish Affiliation Form (if applicable) will need to be filled out along with your $400 deposit and $75 New Family Registration Fee in order to apply to Our Lady of Mount Carmel School.  Your $400 deposit will be deducted off of next year’s tuition bill.  All admission forms can be acquired by visiting our school.  Your deposit can be paid here. 

 

 Admissions Policy

OLMC accepts students of any race and Religion who meet the academic and behavioral requirements.

 Admissions Guidelines

            Pre-K3

            ·                  Children must be 3 years of age by September 1 of the current school year.

·                     All immunization must be up to date.

·                     Children must be toilet trained.  

Pre-K4

·                     Children must be 4 years of age by September 1 of the current school     year.

·                     All immunization must be up to date.

·                     Children must be toilet trained. 

To ensure the health and safety of all of the young children in our Early Childhood Program, OLMC Teachers and/or Principal reserve the right to assess each child’s progress and/or development on a routine basis.  

Kindergarten

·                     All applicants must be screened for readiness.

·                     All immunization must be up to date.

Grades 1-8

·                  Screening and/or interview with Principal is required prior to acceptance. For children in 3rd grade and over, a current report card is needed for review by the Principal.  

·                 We accept local transfers of students from any public, private or diocesan school for admittance.

·                  Applications are processed and considered in order of determination if OLMC can meet the needs of the applicant.

Expectations for OLMC School Families

·                 Parent/Teacher conferences-OLMC School believes that parents and teachers are partners in the education of our students.  Home/School Meetings as well as Parent/Teacher conferences are mandatory for all parents in order to maintain good communication with each other.

·                  Families are expected to follow all policies and procedures as determined by OLMC.  All polices and procedures can be found in the OLMC Student/Parent Handbook, which can be found on our website.

·                  In addition to tuition, families are expected to pay an assessment fee each year or may chose to work it off by participating in a variety of fundraising opportunities throughout the school year.
